The home inspection profession is a fun and interesting job.I have been inspecting since 1984 on a casual basis and full-time since 1992.
But! There is a nasty side to this profession that many inspectors do not know.
If a client wants money, lodge a claim against a home inspector!
I am hearing of matters where inspectors who do all the right processes are having claims lodged against them, and their PI insurers are just making commercial decisions to pay out the claimants, whether the home inspector was right or wrong, yep meaning you will have no say in your job any longer if your clients notify your insurers.
It is bullshit like this that takes the love out of the game
